school started! >,<
My school is located at ‘Zhongshan Beiyi Lu’, which is an hour away from the apartment! so I have to get up VERY early! However, I’d rather travel an hour than live on that terrible campus!!
NOUTH?! Is it NORTH or SOUTH?? Well, it supposed to be NORTH =p
It really confuses people who are not able to read Chinese!
Actually, school started 3 weeks ago (!) We had been through a stressful period during the first 2 weeks, because we had too many courses! We already had an intensive Chinese course, but under the requirement of our school in Holland we also had to attend at least 3 business courses! In this case we would have 32 Chinese credits in total, while we only had to fulfill 15 credits during this semester!=_=”
We had spent a lot of time complaining! Finally our school gave us permission to drop 2 business courses (PFEWW!) Now we have Chinese lesson from Monday till Friday (8.30 – 12.10u) and International Political Economics (BLEHH!) at Thursday (13.20 – 15.00u).
Well, below u can see some pictures of my school ..
My Chinese school @ North Zhongsan No.1 Road
My Business school @ Guoding Road
It looks quite good from the outside right? But once u get in the building, the image will change immediately! The first time we saw the class, it looked like SHIT! The tables were very low, like it’s made for children at primary school! Also the chairs were very small and hard which caused foot numbness after just one lesson! And OMGG u must see the toilets! Chinese people used to pee in a hole in the ground! It’s so dirty and it really smells like… whatever I don’t wanna mention it!=X Furthermore there is no toilet paper (not only at school, but also at public toilets)! So when u’re in China, don’t forget to take tissues with u (!!VERY IMPORTANT)
The first one was made at our business school!
I wonder where ‘IT’ will go, because you can’t flush the toilet! O.o
After one lesson at level 2 we noticed that the level was too low, so we got to level 3 which took place in another building! This building was wayyy better than the other one! At least there were normal chairs and tables!=p
My class!^^ there are about 15 students in total!
The teachers and classmates are very funny!^^
Kimmy, Tongxin, teacher of Speaking and mii!
We, Kimmy and me, and 2 classmates:
Mint (Thaïs) and Lee Tong Xin (Korean)
Ohh btww I forgot to tell something funny! During Chinese lesson, Kimmy had created a fifth pinyin tone which is like this ~ .. HAHAHA the first time I heard this tone, I was laughing so hard that I could barely catch my breath!xD muahaha sorry for telling ur secret, kimmy =p but everyone should know how "clever" u are!^^ dont hate mi!

life in shanghai!
Woopss.. xD it has been a while since my last post!=$ I’ve been so absent from this blog! I’ve been spending more time exploring my new neighborhood! now im able to tell a lot about shanghai!=)
First some beautiful pictures made at a gaming plaza @ Pudong! =D we had made more than 50 picz I guess! These machines are really addictive!=p
The people
People in shanghai are extremely rude and aggressive!O.o they’ll bump into you and stare at you like its your fault! what annoys the most is that a lot of people in shanghai are so disgusting, like picking their nose in public, talking with a lot of spittle coming out of their mouth, loud burping in a restaurant while a lot of people are trying to enjoy their delicious meal etc etc!=_=” drivers dont even watch for pedestrians! to make it all worse the police does nothing to better the situation!
Transportation
Transportation in shanghai is really cheap! We’d bought a public transportation card which can be used in most public transportation vehicles like bus and metro! Most urban buses charges 2RMB no matter how many stops u take! Metro is the most convenience public transportation! It costs 3 RMB at minimum up to …. 6 RMB? In Holland its 1,60 EURO at minimum rite? Damnn im afraid I would travel by foot more often when im back in Holland!=$ shanghai makes me greedy!!
Travelling by taxi is also very cheap! They charge 11 RMB as base fee (first 3km are free) and 2RMB per next km! thats 1euro for 3km!O.o However the taxi drivers often smell like they havent showered in days! Besides that some drivers act like they dont know how to get to a certain destination which leads to extra km and $$!=@
our first taxi ride!^^
Generally I prefer to take the taxi because in public transportation vehicles you will have to deal with rude people who cant wait till you got out the vehicle! They like to push so if u’re not strong enough, u’re not able to get out or in!
Food and drinks
People in shanghai used to cook spicy food! I really like the food here (except the smelly tofu which is very popular and found on many streets)! Every time I smell that tofu, I want to vomit! Also you have to be careful of food to avoid food-poisoning! I tried many different food in shanghai, hoping to sample the best shanghai food around =) So far, the food @ jinmao tower was the best! (and most expensive =$)
Drinks in shanghai aren’t as tasty as in Holland! Like fanta, in Holland im addicted to fanta but the WANNABE fanta in shanghai is disgusting! I’ve tried it once and will never try it again!! I often drink the same standard drinks: Watsons water, coke, tea (from Holland) and 王老吉!
We ❤ WATSONSSSSS!!
Shanghai @ night
Shanghai is very exciting at night, especially for single guys =p because there are a lot of clubs called: ‘gentleman’s club’ O.o don’t know where it stands for! Besides that there are a lot of other clubs, like babyface (very popular club in shanghai) I never went to those clubs and I hopefully never will!
For me, the nightlife is interesting because of the many light! It feels like being somewhere in vegas!=p one night we hang out at the Bund and I really enjoyed that view! What do I like the most at night? SHOPPING OF COURSE!! Shops are closed around 22.00u! I will probably never get bored here =D last time we went shopping, kimmy and I got ourselves some awesome stuffs..
